Arnold rec center

Police are investigating two thefts the same day this month from unlocked lockers at the Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 Missouri State Road.

Between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Dec. 9, someone got inside an unlocked locker and stole a computer tablet valued at about $400, as well as a debit card and other items, the report said.

At 4:35 p.m. Dec. 9, another victim reported that someone got inside an unlocked locker and stole a jacket valued at $30, according to the report.

As of today (Dec. 20), none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Detective Lt. James Jones said.

He said people can better protect their valuables by simply locking them up at the rec center.

“Don’t leave valuables in unlocked lockers,” he said.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
