Festus Police are investigating the theft of two pistols from a home off Menkhus Avenue. Together the two guns were valued at $800, Chief Tim Lewis said.
He said one of the victims, a 29-year-old woman, discovered the weapons missing on March 30, but she did not know exactly when they went missing.
“The woman reported her husband had some friends over March 7 or March 8,” Lewis said. “He showed the pistols to the visitors and sometime between then and March 30, they discovered the two firearms were stolen.”
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Festus Police at 636-937-5184.
