Arvil B. Matthews, 50, of Imperial and Jerami A. Westenberger, 35, of Arnold were among 25 people recently indicted on federal drug and weapons charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office reports.

From October 2010 to September 2013, the 25 people allegedly were involved with “the distribution and manufacture of large amounts of methamphetamine,” the report said.

Several of the people are members of the Saddle Tramps Motorcycle Club, including Matthews, president of the club, according to the report.

Others indicted in the case include five from Bonne Terre – Melvin J. Scherrer, 49; Alan D. Adler, 54; Howard R. “Bud” Pyatt, 55; Mark E. Abney, 47; and Amy G. Horrell, 33; and 13 from St. Louis – Brent T. Bouren, 42; Terri L. Fox, 47; Guillermo “Willie” Navarro, 35; Jerry L. Addison, 66; James A. Mitchell, 44; Patrick A. Tate, 41; Donald J. Maguire, 54; Theodore S. Heege, 48; Norma J. Egan, 47; Donna L. Moss, 45; Sheila C. Heege, 47; Haley L. Meier, 34; and Heather N. Martin, 27 – as well as Amber D. Scism, 31, of Farmington; Danielle R. Becker, 29, of Park Hills; Ray Allen Davis Jr. 46, of Union; Jimmie D. Johnson, 60, of St. Clair; and Jorge Lopez, 37, of Corinth, Texas.

The drug charges carry penalties ranging from 10 years to life in prison and the weapons charges are punishable by up to 10 years in prison, the report said.

The case was investigated by the Jefferson County and St. Charles County sheriff’s offices; St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department; the Missouri State Highway Patrol; the Federal Bureau of Investigation; the Drug Enforcement Administration; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and other law enforcement agencies.

Assistant U.S. attorney Jeannette Graviss is handling the case, according to the report.
