Windows were smashed on two cars parked outside an Arnold gym, and a purse was stolen from one of the cars. The incident happened at Xist Fitness, 3823 Vogel Road, Arnold Police reported.
At 4:20 p.m. Jan. 30, a 41-year-old Imperial woman called police after finding a window broken out on her 2005 Saturn Ion. The woman said her purse was stolen. The damage to the window was estimated at $250, and the purse and its contents were valued at $103, the report said.
At 4:35 p.m., police discovered a window also was shattered on a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta, which a 17-year-old Barnhart woman drove to the gym. Nothing was stolen from that car, but the damage was estimated at $300, according to the report.
As of Feb. 4, the purse had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
