A TV, jewelry, cash and other items recently were stolen from a home in the 2700 block of Lee Pyle Road in the De Soto area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 6, someone pried open a rear door to the home to get inside and stole the items, the report said.

In addition to a 42-inch Samsung flat-screen TV, stolen items included two gold Elgin watches with crystals and diamonds; a watch with a silver band and white face; a knock-off Rolex watch; a black rope bracelet with a gold clasp; six $100 bills; a water jug filled with coins; and a safe that contained $300 in Japanese currency and vehicle titles. In all, the items were valued at $1,270, according to the report.
