A trailer was stolen from outside Faith Baptist Church, 11835 Hwy. CC, in Festus. The trailer belongs to a 51-year-old Festus man who had left the 1996 trailer in the church parking lot, Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
“It is not known why it was at the church,” he said.
The trailer was discovered missing Aug. 16, but the theft was not reported to authorities until Aug. 18, Lewis said.
He said it is not known why the victim waited two days to report the trailer missing.
Lewis did not have an estimate for the value of the trailer.
As of Aug. 24, the trailer had not been recovered and no arrests had been made, Lewis said. Anyone with information is urged to call the Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
