Arnold Police arrested two women and a man following a traffic stop on Richardson Road. Officers found each of them to be in possession of suspected illegal drugs, police reported.
At about 9:15 p.m. Jan. 13, a detective stopped a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt on Richardson Road near I-55. The officer stopped the car because the driver, a 42-year-old Desloge woman, failed to signal a lane change, and because the light was out over the rear license plate, the report said.
A 54-year-old man and 26-year-old woman, both of Park Hills, also were in the car, according to the report.
Officers allegedly found three capsules containing a substance suspected to be fentanyl in the Desloge woman’s purse, the report said.
Officers also allegedly discovered the man had 88 capsules suspected of containing fentanyl and a bag with a large amount of a crystal-like substance hidden in his underwear, and the Park Hills woman had 50 capsules and a bag with a crystal-like substance in it also concealed in her underwear, according to the report.
The three were arrested and taken to the Police Station, where they were booked and released pending the application for charges, the report said.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek a charge against the Desloge woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
