Tools were stolen from an unlocked toolbox in the back of a pickup parked outside the Texas Roadhouse restaurant, 806 Arnold Commons Drive. The stolen tools were valued at $1,732, Arnold Police reported.

The victim, a 44-year-old Wright City man, told police the theft occurred between about 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Feb. 11, after he drove his 2016 Dodge Ram 4500 to meet a friend for dinner. He said when he returned to his pickup after dinner, he did not notice anything wrong, but his friend called him and told him the toolbox in the bed of the pickup was open, the report said.

The man stopped his pickup and discovered power tools and hand tools missing. He told police he typically leaves the toolbox unlocked because the pickup usually is parked on a secured lot, according to the report.

As of Feb. 17, none of the tools had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
