De Soto Police are investigating the recent theft of tools from a garage at a home in the 1600 block of North Fourth Street. The tools were worth more than $900, police reported.

The thefts occurred between 10 p.m. May 16 and 5 a.m. May 17, said Capt. Jeffery Wynn, the De Soto Police Department’s assistant chief of police.

“The garage door was open,” he said. “No forced entry.”

Stolen items included an air compressor, a leaf blower, a drill, an impact wrench, a weed trimmer and other tools.

As of May 18, none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made, Wynn said. He asks anyone with information to call De Soto Police at 636-586-8891.
