crime investigation

A variety of tools and a bottle of medication, altogether valued at $2,710, were stolen from a home in the 6000 block of Westminster Court in Imperial. The incident occurred between 4:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. May 9, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

It looked like the culprit got inside the home through the garage door that possibly had been left open, the victim told investigators. Stolen included a 20-volt drill set, a 12-volt drill set, a laser radial arm saw, a table saw, two backpack blowers, an 18-volt drill-saw combo set, a weed power cutter and a bottle of hydrocodone, the report aid.

As of May 18, none of the items had been recovered and no arrests had been made, Sgt. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
