Tools, clothing, soap and other items recently were stolen from a home in the 12000 block of Hyfield Road in the De Soto area. The burglary happened between 4:30 p.m. July 23 and 1 p.m. July 24, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The thief may have gotten into the home through an unlocked door. Stolen items included a black and yellow tool bag filled with miscellaneous hand tools; a Ryobi cordless drill; a Craftsman sander; a Ryobi drill and driver bit set; another sander; three women’s blouses; a purple Carhart hat; a Hello Kitty bag with a purse and wallet inside; a Hurley bag with scarves and belts inside; miscellaneous hand soaps and lotions; a blue skull-shaped vase. In all, the items were valued at $640, the report said.
As of Aug. 10, the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
