Arnold Police recently arrested two men and a woman after they allegedly were found trying to push start a pickup that had been reported stolen from St. Louis County.
At 8:40 a.m. June 20, Arnold Police got a call about a disturbance at the Walmart store, 2201 Michigan Ave., in Arnold and allegedly found the suspects trying to start the pickup, the report said.
The driver, a 28-year-old St. Louis man, allegedly ran away but was caught a short time later near the Armed Forces Recruiting Office on Michigan Avenue, according to the report.
He sustained minor injuries when he was subdued and hit the pavement, so the man was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County for treatment, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
The man already was wanted in St. Louis County on outstanding felony warrants, so Arnold Police contacted the St. Louis County authorities about the arrest, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek tampering and resisting arrest charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ruckman said.
Tampering charges also will be sought against the two people who were with him – a 20-year-old Barnhart man and a 23-year-old St. Louis woman, Ruckman said.
