Three men were arrested outside the Taco Bell on Richardson Road in Arnold after a dispute about the volume of a radio turned physical. The altercation involved a 23-year-old Imperial man, a 45-year-old St. Louis man and a 46-year-old St. Louis man and occurred at 11:38 p.m. April 14, Arnold Police reported.
The dispute, which happened in the drive-thru lane, began when the two St. Louis men allegedly got out of a Chevrolet pickup to tell the Imperial man, who was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer, to turn down the music on his radio. The Imperial man told police the men used derogatory language, but that he turned down the radio and the St. Louis men returned to the pickup parked behind his SUV in the drive-thru, the report said.
The Imperial man also said the St. Louis men started screaming at him again, so he tried to exit the line and in doing so, hit a 2013 Ford that was in front of him. A 30-year-old Arnold man was driving the Ford, and no injuries were reported for him. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, according to the report.
The Imperial man then got out of the Explorer and confronted the two men in the pickup, and the three became involved in a physical altercation. When authorities arrived, all three men were bleeding, but after being treated at the scene, the men refused to be transported for further medical treatment, the report said.
The men were arrested, booked and released pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek third-degree assault charges against all three men through the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Attorney Office, Lt. Tom Leassner said.
The 45-year-old St. Louis man also may be charged with driving while intoxicated after he refused take a breath analysis test, the report said.
