Arnold Police are investigating the theft of a purse from an SUV parked at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road. Inside the purse was a wedding ring worth about $2,000, as well as other items, police reported.

Someone removed the passenger-side window on the 2019 Toyota RAV4 and then stole the purse. The victim, a 44-year-old Arnold woman, said she arrived at the park at about 3:40 p.m. Feb. 5 to walk her dog, and when she returned to her SUV, she found the window on the ground and her purse missing from the rear passenger-side floor, the report said.

The woman said she put her wedding ring in the purse before walking the dog, and she also had Airpods and other items in the purse, and those items were worth a total of about $2,300. The damage to the window was estimated at $500, according to the report.

As of Feb. 9, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
