Arnold Police are investigating damage to a fence, two storage trailers and a shipping container at Spencer Contracting Co., 3073 Arnold Tenbrook Road. The cost to repair the damage was estimated at $2,200, police reported.

Nothing was reported stolen from the trailers or shipping container.

Employees reported the damage on March 1 and told police no one at the concrete business had accessed the storage trailers or shipping container for at least two weeks before the damage was discovered. A hole was found cut in the chain link fence, which surrounds the business, the report said.

Video surveillance did not show anyone entering the business’ property the night before the damage was discovered. However, a lock and frame was damaged on one of the trailers, and a lock was broken on the other trailer. A lock also was broken off the shipping container, Arnold Police reported.

Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said items in the trailers and container were moved around. He also said Arnold Police had been alerted about storage trailers and shipping containers being broken into in south St. Louis County.

As of March 9, no suspects had been identified, he said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
