The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 49-year-old St. Louis woman after stopping an SUV she was driving for alleged traffic violations. The woman was wanted on a warrant, and the deputy found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the SUV, police reported.

On April 20, a deputy stopped a 2005 Buick Rendezvous after seeing the woman make numerous traffic violations while driving near High Ridge Commons Drive and Schumacher Road in High Ridge, the report said.

The woman was unable to provide a driver’s license, but she allegedly told the deputy she was wanted on active warrants. After confirming the warrants, the deputy arrested the woman, according to the report.

When the deputy searched the Rendezvous, he allegedly found a white crystal-like substance, a pipe and hypodermic needles. The deputy also found several forms of identification that belonged to multiple other people who were not the woman, the report said.

The woman was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, where she was booked and held on her warrants, according to the report.

Depending on results of the drug analysis, the Sheriff’s Office will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Capt. Matt Moore said.
