$100 bill

A 59-year-old St. Louis man recently was arrested for allegedly passing a $100 bill at an Arnold convenience store, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman says.

At about 4:40 p.m. May 24, the man allegedly passed the bill at the U-Gas store, 3611 West Outer Road, in Arnold, got in a vehicle and left the scene, Arnold Police reported.

Police stopped the vehicle a short time later and arrested the suspect.

He was booked and then released on a summons, the report said.

The case has been turned over to the U.S. Secret Service, Ruckman said.
