The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft from a Spire gas company work truck parked on an unnamed street south of the 6000 block of the West Outer Road in Imperial. About $2,650 in tools and other items were stolen, and there was about $1,500 in damage to tool bins on the truck, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The theft occurred between about 3:35 p.m. Sept. 13 and 7 a.m. Sept. 16. It looked like someone pried open two tool bins on the truck and stole the items, including a power drill, a 20-volt battery, a battery charger, a reciprocating saw, an electric hammer drill and a cordless hammer drill. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
