The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a side-by-side from property in the 9000 block of Old Lemay Ferry Road north of Hillsboro. The green and black Defender Max 1000 was valued at about $2,400, authorities reported.
The victim said the side-by-side was on his property at about 1 p.m. July 4, and when he returned to the property at about noon July 10, it was gone. The victim had the keys to the side-by-side, the report said.
As of July 14, the vehicle had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
