An Imperial man recently told Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies that while he was at his home in the 4000 block of Beech Court, he heard five gunshots, and one of the bullets traveled through one wall of his master bedroom. The bullet also traveled through a wall at a neighboring home, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The man who heard the shots, which were fired around 11 p.m. May 25, said it sounded like they came from somewhere around John Swaller Road, the report said.
Deputies were called to the scene and found one bullet had entered the man’s house through the west wall of his bedroom and exited through the bedroom’s east wall. The bullet continued through the west wall of the neighboring home, coming to rest inside that house, according to the report.
As of May 28, no arrests had been made, the Sheriff’s Office reported. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
