The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating recent property damage at Karsch’s Village Market, 1730 Old Hwy. M, in Barnhart.

Just after 3 a.m. March 11, someone broke out glass in the store’s front door, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

It looked like someone threw something through the glass door, but the object was not found at the scene, the report said.

Nothing appeared to be stolen from the store, according to the report.

Damage to the door was estimated at $400, the report said.

As of March 25, there were no suspects or arrests, said Lt. Gary Higginbotham of the Sheriffs’ Office.
