The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vehicle break-ins that occurred overnight July 11-July 12 in the Parkton subdivision in Barnhart, Capt. Ron Arnhart says.
Someone got inside an unlocked vehicle parked in the 2200 block of Parkton Way and stole two pair of Oakley sunglasses, two pair of prescription sunglasses and about $25 in change, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
In all, those items were valued at $1,125, the report said.
It looked like someone got into a total of seven vehicles at four different addresses in the neighborhood during that same time frame, Arnhart said.
He said items weren’t stolen from all the vehicles.
As of today (July 16), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Arnhart said.
