Cash recently was stolen from the Quick Stop store in the 2900 block of High Ridge Boulevard in High Ridge, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The theft occurred about 5:20 a.m. Jan. 24, when someone broke glass out of the front door to get inside and then stole the money, the report said.

An alarm sounded and by the time deputies arrived at 5:51 a.m., the suspect was gone, according to the report.

The stolen money and damage to the door were estimated at $500, the report said.

While searching around the building, deputies found a brick, and it looked like it had been used to break the glass out of the door, according to the report.

As of Jan. 29, the stolen money had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Lt. Gary Higginbotham of the Sheriff’s Office.
