A home in the 14000 block of North Lake Drive in the De Soto area was burglarized, and about $2,760 in video game systems and other items were stolen. The burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. Jan. 30 and approximately 8 p.m. Feb. 1, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
It appeared the burglar may have entered the home through a side door, and glass was found broken on exterior and interior doors. Stolen items included a 46-inch television; Xbox and PlayStation video game systems; approximately 30 video games; related video game equipment; subwoofers; and a chainsaw, the report said.
As of Feb. 12, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Capt. Gary Higginbotham said. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
