The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent burglary at a home in the 1400 block of Timberline Drive in the De Soto area. The burglary was reported on May 8, but it could have occurred anytime between April 8 and that date, the report said.
The home had been damaged by fire in February and was vacant at the time of the burglary. However, the owners still had belongings there, according to the report.
It appears someone removed a padlock on a door to the home to get inside. Stolen items included money, two large TVs, TV monitors, an Xbox One console, lawn mowers, a washing machine, toys, shoes and purses. The owner didn’t provide the Sheriff’s Office with a value for the stolen items, the report said.
As of Tuesday (May 23), none of the stolen items had been recovered. There were no suspects or arrests either, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
