The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at VLR Storage, 7079 Old Hwy. 21, in Barnhart. The burglary occurred between 10 p.m. May 5 and 1:15 a.m. May 6, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
It looked like someone pried open the exterior doors to the main office to get inside. Then, tools and keys were taken from the office, where an interior door was damaged, the report said.
Locks also were cut off several storage units. As of Tuesday (May 12), the Sheriff’s Office did not know if anything had been stolen from the units, according to the report.
None of the tools or keys stolen from the office had been recovered and no suspects had been identified as of Tuesday, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
