A Dittmer woman heard loud noises outside her home in the 10600 block of Valley Court on the morning of Jan. 12 and discovered her detached shed was fully engulfed in fire, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported.
The Sheriff’s Office has ruled the fire suspicious, and Cedar Hill Fire Protection District Chief Mick Fischer said the investigation was turned over to the Missouri State Fire Marshal's Office.
Fischer said on Monday (Jan. 25) that the fire was still under investigation.
The shed was destroyed by the fire, he said.
Fischer said firefighters were dispatched to the home at 6:12 a.m. and arrived on the scene at 6:24 a.m.
Cedar Hill firefighters remained on the scene until 8:31 a.m., Fischer said.
