Cameron Setlich, 18, of Fenton has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for robbing a man during a drug deal, court papers show.

On July 2, 2015, Setlich met another person in the 2200 block of Grant Drive in Arnold for a drug deal and during the transaction, Setlich grabbed money from the victim and drove away, dragging the victim who clung to the vehicle until he was thrown from it, suffering “significant trauma,” the probable-cause statement said.

While the victim clung to the vehicle, which was traveling between 30 and 40 mph, Setlich repeatedly kicked him to knock him off the vehicle, the report said.

Setlich pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree robbery, and on Nov. 21, Jefferson County Div. 3 Circuit Judge Nathan B. Stewart sentenced him to 15 years in prison. However, Setlich may be released early if he successfully completes a 120-day treatment program, according to the report.

Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Douglas S. Pribble handled the case.
