About 1,000 pounds of scrap metal recently were stolen from DRS Technologies in the 6000 block of Hwy. PP in High Ridge, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The theft occurred between Sept. 24 and Sept. 27.
About 80 copper and nickel alloy disks with holes in them were stolen from a scrap container at the business, the report said.
The metal was valued at $8,000, according to the report.
As of Friday (Oct. 2), the metal had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
