Two people were able to escape from an RV that caught fire at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 25) while traveling on Telegraph Road near the Flamm City boat ramp, the Rock Community Fire Protection District reported.

The RV was pulled over on the St. Louis County side of the road when Rock Fire personnel arrived, and the driver and a passenger were outside the vehicle. The fire was “well involved” when firefighters arrived, the report said.

The fire was under control in about 10 minutes. It was mainly contained to a bathroom and bedroom in the back of the vehicle, according to the report.

The bedroom and bathroom were extensively damaged, the report said.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire had not been determined and was under investigation, Rock Fire spokesman Ron Harder said today (Oct. 26).
