A refrigerator, framed pictures and other household items recently were stolen from a home in the 5600 block of Eagles Valley Drive in House Springs. The home was being remodeled following a fire there, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The burglary happened between July 10 and July 12, when someone unlawfully entered the home and stole the items. There were no signs of forced entry, the report said.

Stolen items included a stainless steel General Electric refrigerator; a ceiling fan with lights; a Keurig coffeemaker; several large framed pictures, including some new ones; a faucet; eight furnace filters; art supplies; a box of fabric; a box of makeup; and costume jewelry. Altogether, the items were valued at $2,580, according to the report.

A jewelry box at the scene was analyzed for fingerprints and other evidence. As of Monday (July 18), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Lt. Gary Higginbotham. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
