Festus Police are investigating a theft of power tools from a house in the 300 block of Lee Avenue that is being renovated. The theft was reported at 1 p.m. May 8, but the victim had not been at the house for at least a couple of days, Chief Tim Lewis said.
“The victim, a 55-year-old man, is the homeowner and advised several of his power tools are gone from the house,” Lewis said. “The estimated value of the stolen power tools is $600 to $700. It is not known how entry was gained.”
As of May 11, none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made, he said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
