Arnold Police are seeking information about a recent armed robbery at the Subway sandwich shop, 657 Jeffco Blvd.

At about 6 p.m. Nov. 20, a man walked into the store and gave one of the two female employees there a note threatening to shoot her if she did not give him money from the cash register, said Capt. Robert Ruckman of the Arnold Police Department.

It looked like the man had a gun sticking out of his waistband, although the employees weren’t sure what the object was, Ruckman said.

The employee gave the man $228 from the register, and the suspect ran out of the store, where another man was waiting for him, Arnold Police reported.

The two men ran away, north on Jeffco, Ruckman said.

A police dog was taken to the scene, but it “lost the (suspects’) track going toward the River Bluff subdivision,” which is not far from the Subway store, Ruckman said.

The man who entered the store and got the money was white and described as 30 to 40 years old, 5-foot-9-inches to 5-foot-11-inches tall and weighed 200 to 250 pounds. He had dark hair and a mustache and light-colored eyes, and he was wearing a red hat, a red jacket and blue jeans, Ruckman said.

The man who was waiting outside was white and looked to be in his late 40s and was wearing a blue shirt and light-colored blue jeans, Ruckman added.

As of today (Nov. 24), the money had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Ruckman said.

He urges anyone with information about the robbery to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
