Law enforcement officials are seeking a 31-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, both of Imperial, for allegedly having a methamphetamine lab at the Comfort Inn, 3610 West Outer Road, in Arnold, said Capt. Robert Ruckman of the Arnold Police Department.
Police got a call about 12:35 p.m. Nov. 19 that items commonly used to make meth were found in a room at Comfort Inn where the couple reportedly had been staying, Ruckman said.
After the couple stayed in that room, they asked to be moved to another one inside the same hotel, and that room was damaged in what appeared to be an effort to get into the attic space, where more items used to make meth were found, Ruckman said.
The Jefferson County Municipal Enforcement Group Drug Task Force was called to take the meth labs and take over the investigation, Arnold Police reported.
Suspects were identified but had not been located as of Dec. 11, Arnold Police Capt. Bill Bonsack said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
