Arnold Police are seeking felony charges against a 49-year-old Arnold man accused of stealing, possessing stolen property and manufacturing methamphetamine, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
On Feb. 13, the suspect allegedly stole $4,760 in tools and other items from a home on Maple Meadows in Arnold, and on Feb. 23, Arnold Police allegedly found some of those tools at the suspect’s home, which is in the same neighborhood, Jones said.
Police also allegedly found a scooter behind the suspect’s home that previously had been stolen from St. Louis County, Jones said.
On Feb. 28, Arnold Police found a meth lab in a creek near the suspect’s home, and he allegedly admitted that it was his, Jones said.
About a month later, on March 31, the Missouri State Highway Patrol pulled over the suspect at Hwy 141 and Fiedler Lane and contacted Arnold Police, who had listed the man as wanted. So, Arnold officers went to the where the man had been pulled over and took him into custody, Jones said.
The man was booked and released pending application for warrants through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of today (April 20), however, no charges had been filed, Jones said.
