Arnold Police are searching for a 48-year-old Arnold man for allegedly assaulting his wife. The assault happened between midnight and 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at the Quality Inn and Suites, 3610 West Outer Road, authorities reported.
Police were called to St. Alexius Hospital in St. Louis on Feb. 3 because a 43-year-old woman who was being treated there said her husband assaulted her at the hotel the night before. The woman told police her husband accused her of cheating on him and then assaulted her, the report said.
The woman had swelling and bruises on her head, face and torso, and she lost a tooth during the alleged assault. Hotel staff told police that after the man and woman checked out of the hotel, the room they stayed in was found in disarray. Staff allegedly found blood stains and a tooth in the room, according to the report.
As of Feb. 11, the Arnold man had not been located, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
