shattered window

Arnold Police are investigating a recent vehicle break in at the Flamm City boat access. Someone broke out a window to get into the vehicle and stole a purse that contained about $300 in cash, debit and credit cards, checks and other items, a police report said.

It looked like the culprit also tried to pry open a door to the vehicle. The stolen items were valued at $600. Then, after the theft, someone used the debit cards in Arnold to make purchases totaling $402.95. The cards also were used in St. Louis, the report said.

The theft occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. July 24 at Flamm City. As of Aug. 10, the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Detective Lt. James Jones.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
