A 35-year-old Arnold woman recently was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance following a reported shoplifting incident at the Walmart Supercenter, 2201 Michigan Ave., in Arnold, according to Arnold Police.
At 2:59 p.m. Dec. 20, Arnold Police got a call that the woman allegedly had stolen $192 in makeup from the store. When officers arrived, they found that the woman allegedly had stolen 29 different makeup items. In addition, the woman allegedly was found with prescription medication that was not hers, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
He said the woman was booked and released pending application for warrants. Depending on results from the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of Wednesday (Dec. 28), the woman had not been charged, Jones said.
