The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a tool and 35 to 40 pills from an unlocked pickup parked in the 300 block of Lembeck Trails Road in the De Soto area. The tool, a pipe laser, was valued at about $6,000, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies were called to the home at about 6:20 a.m. Aug. 12, after the victim discovered his 2017 Ford F-350 had been rummaged through. He told investigators that a pipe laser and 10 hydrocodone pills and between 25 to 30 Flexeril pills were stolen from the unlocked pickup, the report said.
As of Sept. 3, none of the missing items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
