The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a pickup from a commuter lot at Old Hwy. 21 and Hidden Valley Road in the Hillsboro area. The victim had the keys to the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado but said he wasn’t sure if it had been locked, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim said he parked the pickup on the lot at about 7:30 p.m. Dec. 25 and when he returned for it at about 8:15 pm. Dec. 27, the truck was missing, the report said.
As of Dec. 29, the pickup had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
