A work truck recently was stolen from outside a home in the 2300 block of Old Hwy. 141 in the Fenton area. The theft happened sometime on Nov. 27, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
A white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen, as was a gas-powered saw inside the truck. Together, the pickup and saw were valued at $6,000, the report said.
The truck belongs to Midwest Asphalt Paving and Sealing and was parked at an employee’s home. The pickup was unlocked, and the keys were in the ignition, according to the report.
As of Monday (Dec. 12), the pickup and saw had not been recovered. There were no suspects or arrests either, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said.
