Pevely Police are investigating thefts from several unlocked vehicles which were reported the morning of Oct. 1. Two handguns were among the items stolen, authorities said.
The thefts were from vehicles parked along Heathercrest Drive, Glenoma Drive and Kenmon Court, Police Chief Mark Glenn said. The thefts are thought to have taken place overnight Sept. 30 to Oct. 1, he said.
“We have four cars we know of where people had stolen items,” Glenn said. “It was on the northern edge of the city. Cash and two handguns were among the items stolen. All of the cars were unlocked.”
