Pevely Police are investigating the theft of tools from a trailer outside RHR Custom Automotive, 8378 Commercial Blvd. The theft was reported at 3:10 p.m. March 2, police reported.
The victim, a 30-year-old Pevely man, said he noticed the back door to his black enclosed trailer was not latched shut, and then he found the padlock on the trailer door had been cut off and was lying on the ground, according to police
A Husky tool chest valued at $400 was stolen. It was filled with a lot of tools, but no value was given for them, police reported.
As of March 9, the stolen tools had not been recovered, and no arrests had been made, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call Pevely Police at 636-475-4498.
