D’Angelo R. Blount, 32, of Pevely has been sentenced to 90 years in prison for molesting a young girl, according to court records.
A jury found Blount guilty of three counts of first-degree child molestation and three counts of first degree statutory sodomy, all felonies, and on Oct. 29, Jefferson County Div. 4 Circuit Judge Brenda Stacey sentenced him to 30 years in prison for each count of sodomy and 10 years in prison for each count of child molestation. The three 10-year terms are to be served concurrently, or at the same time, with the 30-year terms, which are to be served consecutively, for a total of 90 years, court documents show.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Molly Bravo handled the case.
The molestation occurred between February 2015 and July 2016, starting when the girl was 6 years old, according to the probable-cause statement in the case.
Blount currently is in Eastern Reception Diagnostic Correctional Center in Bonne Terre.
