Scott A. Hartman, 44, of Pevely was hurt early this morning in a moped accident on Hwy. P south of Hillsboro-Hemtite Road in Hematite, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Hartman was riding a 2011 Shenke YY 50-quart-6 moped south on Hwy. P, lost control of the vehicle and it overturned off the road, the report said.
He sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where he was discharged today (June 16), a hospital spokesman said.
Hartman was wearing a helmet, the patrol reported.
The moped sustained minor damage, the report said.
