Marjorie Dean of Hillsboro sent in this photo of her 8-year-old boxer, DaisyMae, from December 2024, parked near the family’s Christmas tree.
“It was last Christmas,” Dean said. “We’ve never had a problem with her with ornaments or presents, unless they contain dog treats. She tries to get into presents if they have dog treats in them.”
Dean said DaisyMae is a rescue dog that has a terrific personality.
“She’s everybody’s friend,” she said. “No one’s a stranger. She warmed up to us over time.”
Whether she meets humans or animals, she is always friendly, Dean said.
“She gets along with people and other pets,” she said.
