A juvenile is suspected of burglarizing Outlaw Tom’s, 3124 Pleasant View Drive, in High Ridge, where about $800 in tobacco and vaping products were stolen. The burglary occurred about 12:35 a.m. Aug. 9, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies responded to an alarm sounding at the business and found a rear window had been broken. In addition, deputies found tobacco products lying on the ground, and the victim reported that both tobacco products and smoking devices were missing, the report said.
The damage to the window was estimated at $300, according to the report.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said Sept. 3 that the juvenile was identified as a suspect and some of the stolen items had been recovered and returned to the owner. Bissell also said the case was turned over to juvenile authorities.
