A vehicle fire at CBI Street Cars, 13201 Hwy. JJ, southeast of De Soto left one car destroyed and another damaged. The fire broke out between 5:13 a.m. and 5:40 a.m. Jan. 24, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
A 1998 Pontiac Trans Am was destroyed by the fire, and a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was damaged. The fire was suspicious and is being investigated as a possible arson, the report said.
The Camaro had extensive damage to its passenger side. The damage to the two vehicles was estimated at $10,000, according to the report.
The Trans Am belonged to a 23-year-old Fenton man, and the Camaro belonged to a 38-year-old Valles Mines man, the report said.
