A poorly labeled package at the Fenton Post Office, 10 Fenton Plaza, in St. Louis County raised suspicion Wednesday (May 8). However, the package proved not to be a threat, St. Louis County Police reported.
The St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit was called to the Post Office at about 11:50 a.m., when a box with inadequate labels and descriptions arrived. Police set up a perimeter in the area while the bomb squad determined what was in the package, Sgt. Ben Granda said.
The bomb squad discovered an electronic item that produced noise in the box, and at about 2:20 p.m., it was determined there was no threat, Granda said.
