Arnold Police are looking for a 31-year-old North Carolina woman who rented a U-Haul van from a dealer at Houska’s Ace Hardware, 1520 Jeffco Blvd., and allegedly has not returned it. The 2021 Chevrolet van is worth about $5,000, Arnold Police reported.
A U-Haul employee reported that the woman had rented the van for 24 hours on Jan. 24 from the Arnold location. As of Jan. 31, the van had not been returned, the report said.
The woman’s intended destination and what she was using the van for was not reported.
Cpl. Brett Ackermann said Arnold Police have applied for a felony stealing warrant against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He said as of Feb. 9, police had not been able to contact the woman.
